I'm pretty sure circumcision also has a lot to do with religion. Judaism, in particular, which cites it as being a command from God. A lot of other religions practiced circumcision historically. That's probably how it became a cultural phenomenon.

Actually, while searching for safe non-porn pictures, I at first thought I'd try to find some walrusses mating, so I typed in "animal sex pictures" on Google. Naively clicking the first entry, not having read the description carefuly and thinking I'd see seals or damselflies, I found something else altogether. I am rarely shocked...but I was...shocked!

I'm not shocked that people, when paid enough money, will engage in sexual activities with non-human animals. And I'm not shocked that people get turned on by seeing sexuality in any of its forms. What shocked me, though, is that people would take advantage of the animals in this way (although the animals didn't appear to mind!). Taking advantage of animals and their sexual urges feels wrong to me just like it feels wrong to me when people sexually exploit children and others who aren't old enough or able to make choices about their sexuality.

Speaking of scary, I have some replies to comments you and Freebase made about male genital mutilation (circumcision), but I will post them later.

On another forum I used to go to, someone posted a link which was supposed to be funny. I clicked it and, okay, I was on some informative page about dolphin sex.
