Cook in lots of water than drain instead of cooking until the water has absorbed.

What do you need cups for?

Just use your eyes lol? You don't need to measure the water because you'll be tipping it away anyway.

If you don't wash the rice (I'm guessing it's white rice not brown), then it will be mushy when you cook it. Same with the water, if you don't put enough in/you cook until absorption then it will just become mushy.

10 mins boiling time (max) and keep an eye on it/stir and then drain, will come out perfect.

He already said he was putting chilis on it. The spiciness of the chilis heat up and cook the rice.

Yeah I've done that before just heated the chilli in a separate pan, usually do pilau rice with it though, or make rice and peas.

I am simply not trying to put that much effort into ****ing rice. Rice is supposed to be quick and you're making it into a trial.
