Yeah, Im from Sydney Australia and re people hating the USA a lot of people probably hate Australia too. eg - people who live in mud huts and have to scavenge for food might wonder why Joe Ordinary in Oz has a TV, computer, mobile phone, car etc and is really cheesed off cos he can't afford the latest home theatre package yet.

I was in the USA some years ago and the people I met were very friendly and hospitable. Hating an entire country is no different than hating an inanimate object like a chair or something. There may, however, be some justification for being a little disappointed with the group of people who spend their lives getting into positions of power and then don't seem to do much to address the imbalances in the world.

well, after second year university i'll be in australia to ski for about 3 or four months during my summer break. I'll be too busy with school to get enough skiing in during my winter, so I figure I'll go down there and get a good season in.

I heard from a friend of mine who joined the military and went to australia that you guys rock up there. He said the punks were cool and very friendly towards him, so much that hes thinking of moving there permenatly when his duty is up. Ive met a couple aussies here in the states, but they were a little to crazy with the drugs for my taste.
