What are your thoughts on marijuana? I've smoked a bit in my life, but I'm sort of getting to the opinion that it's useless and I haven't touched it in a long time. If you want to get messed up then just drink -- it's legal.

But seriously, what are your thoughts?

Well first off I love weed, I smoke... quite a bit. Not every day, because I don't want to **** with my school and job and ****, but I do smoke quite a bit. I think it's ridiculous that it's still illegal, especially since it was outlawed in the first place because of a racist paper company dude and whatnot... legalize bud, it's a lot safer than drinking.

But I also smoke cigarettes so I'm screwed anyways

even though i'm only 15 and it's not legal yet for me.

i used to smoke weed. for awhile it was almost every weekend and sometimes during the week. now, i don't do it anymore. i don't really want to i guess. plus the fact of it being illegal and what could happen if i got caught.

i don't really like the smell of it either. and when my eyes get all red and stuff. the effect isn't too bad- i can't complain, but yea, if i wanted to get messed up getting trashed is the way i'd most likely go.

I started drinking at about that age...

But getting caught drinking at a young age won't get your in nearly as much trouble as getting caught smoking weed. Great point...

I don't do weed. I just don't want to bother with the stuff. Not my thing, I guess.. But, I started drinking when I was 15 or so, I think...

I don't really have a problem with other people doing it though.

I used to smoke weed every day during school but I've calmed down quite a bit with it. I'd much rather get drunk even though that's not legal for me. Either way, I'd rather get everything straight in school before I start doing either consistantly again.

in canada i dont think its a big deal being stoned as far as how legal it is, sort of like being drunk in public or something and having weed on you is something like a day in jail with a fine and some public service hours or something. selling weed is like selling other drugs, big trouble but other then that i think cops will let us off with warnings unless theres something significant about it

what sort of legal action is takin in the states?

i used to smoke pot when i was younger, most around 15 aswell but iv grown out of it i guess

Legalize it. People will still continue to smoke it regardless. I think a lot of people smoke it because it is illegal. I don't think pot is a big deal, there are people who abuse alcohol and cause so many problems. I wish the US would do what Amsterdam did. The drug war will never be won, period. I don't think pot is addictive either.
Alcohol is more addictive and so isn't cigarettes and other hard drugs. Some people have a predisposition to be "addicted" to anything. Anything can be a "gate way" drug IMO. I think pot gets a bad rap. There are kids, who started with alcohol and went right into hard drugs. IMO pot is no big deal, just use it in a responsible way.
Just like alcohol. Don't use it behind the wheel. I know people who do that a lot and it worries me. They think nothing will happen, but something may just happen one day.

ya, in canada they're talking about decriminalizing it. bit different than all out legalizing it, but i think its a good idea. its so stupid that one drug charge can completely **** up your entire life, its completely rediculous. i've never tried it myslef, but a friend of mine was rejected from the univerity he wanted to go to because of a drug charge on his record for possessing weed.
