Yellow Tail is pretty good and reasonably priced. And yes, the big bottle is the best. I like the Yellow Tail Cab myself though...

Bought this wine the other night on a whim, I normally don't like the sweet wines. But this was pretty good. Not to mention the price was right at around $7 a bottle, and it's from a Texas winery. Yay!

Neopolitan- I endorse your suggestion of Portuguese Port! Some of the best stuff around.

Pete- cheap wine, have you dabbled in the Two-Buck Chuck? $2 merlot, and it's actually not bad (and in a bottle, not a box).

Wifey- Coppola is a good recommendation. I liked his Zin, it was so leathery it was like licking a cowgirl.
Port wine IS portuguese, any other "port wines" just aren't.

my advice is drink some young Pinot Noir. I like Arrogant Frog, but if you're into some fruity ****, try Jam Jar.

Over half (maybe as high as two-thirds) of their grapes are purchased from out of state suppliers.

I got some of this:

It scored well on some different websites, but I've gotta say, it's probably the worst merlot I've ever had. I'm not a big fan of merlot though.

I ended up mixing it with Sierra Mist so I could drink it. Much improved.

Yup, I concur, although Moscato is a good white wine
