I was born in Amsterdam, but I live in Susteren now, about 250 kilometres south.

As far as I know there's not much problems with sinking houses now, there.
Rotterdam, a city about 100km to the south of Amsterdam, wasn't built on poles but this city does have quite some problems with streets cracking up and houses tilting. Not sure what went wrong there.

Can't help but thinking of this guy:

What a pity. I have a question about sports. Anyway, just in case someone knows the answer: Why aren't there top-ten Swedish tennis players anymore? I mean like Björn Borg, Mats Wilander or Stefan Edberg.

I agree. Perhaps the only difference is the point of view. As journalists say, there are several questions to ask when facing an issue: who, how, when, where..?

For instance, here the question is where: Botellón - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

One thing is clear: Bacchus has triumphed everywhere.

Knowing quite a few germans, I can confirm that this is the case. A lot of germans also like to go to the south norwegian coast during summers and fish as much as they possibly can. They used to bring trailers with freezers for storing all the fish. They used to take out a lot, but recently the amount of fish they can take back to Germany has finally been limited to some kilos.
