Oh I know..I was just giving reflection of my first impression with humor,
I never really am very concerned or serious about the small things.
I guess I will delete it if it offends anyone.

Ah too late Brennan, I was all ready for a battle over the keyboards but you logged out and my wrath was savagely quelled. What on earth we were going to argue about I have no idea and I'm already schooled. I have a 16 year old son so I'm used to drawing battle lines.

You can always school me if you feel the need to. I need some excitement here lately anyways.

it's like the difference between music (art) and musical taste (ego) - they are not one and the same. it takes time and effort to do the necessary soul searching to reach a point where one is fine with the fact that what you listen to doesn't actually matter for anything at all to anyone besides you.
I like how you say this, mr dave, and I agree. I hope people who come to MB have a chance to enjoy musical expression, even if they are the only ones who like a particular song (other than hopefully its creators).

One reason I like the songwriting section so much is that here I get to talk to the people who are expressing themselves musically. I find it ironic that last year there was an MB vote in favor of closing the songwriting section because the lyrics "suck," when to me the whole point of music isn't to make something that others like but to express yourself.
