I don't trust a man that doesn't like man's best friend boobs! Cats are quite nice, I've always wanted a cat called Noel. But dogs are just brilliant.

yeah because there's no reason this sort of behaviour should be discouraged.... just replace the pet if it can't adapt to being abused for the entertainment of babies

I relate to cats more...I'm the kind of person who wants attention when I want attention, but any other time I just want to be left alone. Cats are just like that. I hate how dogs are so needy. Plus I have always felt weird "owning" animals...you can't "own" another life. Cats don't seem like pets...they seem like roommates. You can never own a cat. In fact, I'm pretty sure they think they own you.

Cats are cold, dogs always want to come and greet you and give you a hug. I love how dogs are always there, if you're feeling p*ssed off or something, you won't ever have your cat come over to you to give you affection. Unless it's a really nice loving cat, but dogs will. Cats are far too cold. Dogs wear their heart on their sleeves a lot more. And they're far cuter, you can't play football with a cat. I used to play football with my old doggie all the time. Dogs are just the ultimate pet, I don't like the idea of being owned by a cat.

All my cats seemed very empathic...every time I was upset one of them would pop up be all loving and what not. It feels more genuine since dogs just kind of do that by default.

Dogs always care. Not their fault they're so damn loveable.

Bingo

Plus you can walk dogs, playfight with them (provided they're big enough like mine of course), set them on people who annoy you, teach them to do all kinds of cool stuff and so on. A lot more involving than cats, which I dig.

That said, I still love cats, just not quite so much as dogs. Especially the little 'uns - my sister's letting me look after her kittens for the week, and you could spend hours just mucking about with them.

I just walked in the door from work about five minutes ago and as usual my cat came running downstairs to say hi. Like most days she plopped down in front of me and started rolling around on her back at my feet wanting her belly rubbed. When I went upstairs she followed me and is now hanging out about five feet from me, like she'll probably do for the rest of the evening no matter which room I'm in. That hardly sounds cold to me. And I don't think this is an unusual case, in my experience it's pretty typical cat behavior.

As far as the issue of playing goes. I don't know if my cat could play football but she'll certainly chase anything I throw and play fight with me pretty much whenever.

It is an unusual case, your cat is weird. My Uncle's cat looks at me like I've just try to piss on it. I've known the fucker for the best part of 11 years. He still hates me. Their new dog has known me 2 years and jumps on me every time I visit.

Dogs>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Cats.

It's not. Every cat I've ever had has been more or less like that.
