i know he isnt trying to justify war,but those kind of quotes are used by this crazy gun-freak who lives next door, maybe im just picking up on that because he always uses it to justify himself, that annoys me

War, HUH, Good God Y'all, What Is It Good For?

Well...how about ridding the majority of Europe from a facist, moustached Austrian dictator that killed a third of the Jewish population that threatened to have us all wearing swastikas screaming HEIL, HEIL and speaking german. how about that?

If you use that quote in context with WWII, then yeah, it does seem to lose it's validity. However, keep in mind that that song was referring to the Vietnam War, so when you refer the quote to that war, it does make a whole lot more sense.
