This got slightly off topic (both topics are equally interesting though!).

My personal opinion of American Idol:

A very boring show put on by companies that make money by marketing to people who like to watch other people "compete" for a record contract that is earned by getting the most popularity votes from people who like to watch boring shows put on by companies that like to make money off of said boing people.

The show is about as much fun as the previous sentance and is also as entertaining!
