What Would Happen If We Met In Real Life?
 

Imagine this situation where we all put away our savings for the next two years and booked a trip to a suitable meeting place for people all over the world. I mean it could be up to 30 of us that could meet and have a function held at some hall and get on the drink together, discussing Music Banter and get to know each other in person.

How would you handle it during that meeting? Would you be nervous, shy, awkward, excited? Who in particular would you like to get to know better amoungst the group? How do you think certain people would behave? Who would be the comedian, who would be flirty and who would take the lead of conversations? If you could frame in it a certain way where for each person you think would come, what role they'd play. Would there be men and women on the forums that would end up hooking up? Who would they be? Who would be off their face and pass out? Who would end up in philosophical conversations?

Who is the person you're drawn to on the forum that you would like to talk to the most? Is there any internet crushes?

This is mainly hypothetical but it could be something we could do in the future if people are willing enough.

I would be nervous as hell, but it would soon pass and I am sure we would have a really great time.

I do really terribly in social settings --- I hate parties, family gatherings, even "afters" at funerals. So I'd probably corner someone like Jackhammer and try to spend the evening talking to him about music and life, while nervously eyeing the others in the room.

Were I NOT so shy I would love to meet, or at least talk to in person, not necessarily in order but as they occurred to me:
Fetcher (apart from anything else the female Scottish accent makes me go weak at the knees)
Vanilla (seems really nice and I'd like her to confirm with her own eyes that there is in fact no halo over my head!) :laughing:
Fluffy (We'd start talking about football but I suspect we may have a lot in common other than that)
Anteater (One of the coolest guys on the forum imo)
Urban (To meet The Legend in person)
Unknown Soldier (Feel like I've known him all my life)
Big Ears (Another after my own heart, music and writing wise)
Mankycaant (I love his writing style and his take on life in general)
The Batlord (I have GOT to meet that guy in the flesh!)
Janszoon (Love this guy! Don't worry: I'm totally straight! Bromance only!) :D

I really don't know how people would act as I don't know them too well, but I assume the Batlord would be checkin' out the talent and on the lookout for poseurs, while Urban might be grumbling into his drink about how all these "fly-by-nights" got in and how hard it is to be a mod, and why does everyone hate him? Other than that I can't say, but I will think about it more. I'm sure there are other people I'd like to meet too, just can't think off the top of my head.

I'd be completely down. I don't know what Exo you would get You would either get the shy staying in the background Exo or the loud brash feckin New Jersey ******* Exo. I like the first one better.

I'm not that shy so I wouldn't imagine being too quiet or reserved at a MB party or get together of some kind.

Fetcher obviously, she's been like, my best friend on here since I arrived, always a pleasure talking to her.

Plaankton Great guy, wouldn't mind jamming with him sometime. I think we would get on pretty well in real life, I can judge because he seems down to earth and I can kind of gague(probably the wrong word) his character from that.


Janzoon I can imagine relaxing in some smoke filled pub with him with a few pints and some jazz music playing in the backround.


Wolverinepidgeon Reminds me of some of my friends over here, or at least the kind of girls I hang out with. Down to earth, friendly, bit of a tomboy, and very talented.

theBig A guy who has been ridiculously nice to me on the forum and has a great taste in music, I would get on with him pretty well I am sure and he would point me in the direction of a lot of great music.

Rez My beard guru, I usually agree with what he has to say and he seems like a sound chap.


Batlord This guy's the wild card, dunno what the **** would happen if I met him, he could kill me, we could end up passed out glued to the ceiling of a strip club, or we could just end up talking politely in a tea house.

Theres a few more people I didn't mention I will get to in time.

I reckon if we all met up it would be one big awkward silence. Or an orgy, one or the other.
