Well yesterday I went to Wakestock on Toronto Island. It was sooooo much fun. A friend and I went because Dragonette, We Are Scientists, and Metric were playing. We kinda just hung around all day until they played.

I discovered a band called Lights, they were amazing, we talked to the drummer and keyboard player for a bit afterwards - they were both really cool.

Dragonette, We Are Scientists and Metric all played really good sets. For Metric's encore Emily came out with some umbrellas since it was raining and threw them out to the audience, I was able to get one - which was pretty cool.

Then now I just kinda got up, about to go skate - which should be good.

So...my dad and I have recently taken up cycling. My dad decided that as a serious cyclist, it was time for him to shave his legs. Now keep in mind, he's a 50 year old man who has never shaved his legs before. Not to mention, his legs were so hairy, it looked like he was trying to grow a pair of pants. So this was no easy task.
So I went to meet him to go bike riding last night, and lo and behold, there was no hair on the man's legs! Turns out, it took him almost an entire hour to shave them, and he obviously had a hard time with it, as evidenced by all the cuts he had. Believe me when I tell you, it looked like a wolverine got a hold of his right knee...that's how cut up it was.
I seriously can't believe he actually did it. Crazy.

Now I'm at work, trying to stay awake. Gotta go splash some more coffee on my face.

Finished a job today, took a bit longer than I expected. 'Bout a week and a half. Gonna celebrate the $900 paycheck and have some fun.

There is a tropical storm headed straight for us...could be a hurricane by the time it hits land tomorrow morning. Everyone is acting like Armageddon is coming. As for me and mine, we're gonna stick it out and hope the house doesn't float away. YAY!

Edit: I forgot to say that when the "storm" hit, it was nothing more than a hard rain. Please...ever since Katrina everyone runs around like headless-chickens whenever a storm come through the Gulf.
A number did fall off of my mailbox...maybe I should file a claim...

Sorta. I'm a painter. The last job was horrendous, felt like I took the biggest shit ever when I was done.
