Mahavishnu is fantastic. Extreme metal is just a different vibe. I've grown to love music that is an assault and even a little scary to listen to. It's just another interesting way to explore music. Don't fault it for not being pop, that's not the point.

You just have to learn to embrace it for what it is.

Nah, a live environment puts you in a 100% different state of mind than just playing in your garage and is a lot more exciting.
