I tend to agree on the dullness but considering I primarily play bass, play to hard for my own good and have no money, they save me a fortune on strings.

Tbf to em though they beat the brightness of a fresh pair of rounds imo.
I end up just using the Carol Kaye muting technique with a piece of felt on the bridge until the strings are broken in a bit.

Are you talking about bass strings? I've never broken a bass string. Actually, the two basses I own have the same strings on as when I bought em, many years ago. I'm kinda lazy like that. I have a few recordings where I didn't change strings on my guitar before hand and when I listen back I kinda cringe, since they were just crusty wires at the time.

I am yeah, I've broken a few strings before (mainly the G) and they're way too much for me to buy any new sets so I mainly just stick with the flats atm.

Broke a necklace chain. It had gotten tangled in my hair and was wrapped around my neck a bit too tightly as a result, so I just tore it off and threw it somewhere in my room.

^ Hey! Watch that temper, Chiomara

Not sure if it was exactly the last thing, but this has happened so often that it feels like it: I'm talking about those fragile plastic "hinges" that stick out top and bottom of a cd case. It bugs me that with so many of my cds, I can no longer open the case like a book, instead the two bits come apart in my hands with a faint sound of "Annoying, isn't it?"

I thankfully didnt really care for the 2 it hit so I broke them totally and threw them away..... (They were wet on the tape from the milk and I didnt wanna put that in my VCR or 8 track player)
