English or Spanish. (country)

It was an ITALIAN restaurant and half to a 2/3 of the people DIDN'T speak Spanish. Just certain employees. That would be EVERYONE ELSE accomodating and working around them, the way I see it. I see too much of this. If we're to cater to any immigrants, why not Asian immigrants? My brother told me that even other Mexicans have told him the following, which is the difference between most other immigrants and Mexican immigrants. Most other immigrants try to either BE part of or contribute something to society. Most of the Mexicans don't really give a DAMN to be here, and still have family back home whom they're sending money back to. They're just here to temporarily take advantage and, in my opinion, should have EQUAL TAXATION as the rest of us. And they're at the top of the list to who we're catering to why again? Not to sound pissy, but if they care so little about us, why do we treat them so special? That's my beef.

Not to blame them for taking advantage. I'd do THE SAME THING in their shoes, as far as the money goes (though I'd have a little respect for those that gave me such opportunities). I just don't think America should let this continue.

^totally agree. bush pays lip service to protecting our borders, but when it comes to mexico hes all buddy buddy w/vicente fox(mexico's president) for some reason. im a bush supporter, but he has definitely fallen short on this issue.

I have plenty of Spanish friends. They have come here legally and are currently learning English and adopting American customs while at the same time exposing me to Mexican, el Salvadorian, and Columbian culture. that's how it should be.

Americans are a bunch of arrogant elitist pigs. Did we care what language that Mexicans spoke when we stole a large portion of their country away from them and made it ours. Some of you act like English is the indigenous language of this country. There's not a Mexican alive that doesn't have more of a right to be here than any so-called American does.

i think us americans should have too speak the language of the native american tribe in the area that we've taken over i live in america and im not proud i mean f.uck america were evil controlling and arrogant we drive out millions of indians just so we can modernize. and then of course our nations presidents have sent them into camps, sent smallpox diseased blankets to them to kill them off.the indians have the most right to live here than us. i say screw america give it back to the indians and the world would be better off with out our country

When Europeans came to North America did they learn the Native American language? My point is this-- what ever population is dominant, their language will be spoken. The Hispanic population is dominant in several parts of the US now. Wishing can't make it different. It would be a good idea for all of us to learn to speak Spanish if we want to be working 20 years from now...
