Anna Nalick - Breathe - Lyrics Meaning

A 2004 single written by Anna, hitting charts worldwide quickly gaining success, the song has featured in movies and tv series, the song goes into a personal hardship that people go through in life.

The narrator tends to go towards a varied interpretation for the listener to relate to the mistakes we make in life, how we don't take the time to just stop and "Breathe" a metaphor to stop and think before making important decisions or relationships that will end badly, she gives advice to a friend that makes these mistakes, "Can you help me unravel my latest mistake I don't love him,"

Her friend is telling her she is pregnant with a man she doesn't love and needs help in getting out of the situation she's in.

She goes on to tell her friend that you can't change what you've done but you can take time right now to "breathe" think and know everything will be alright, she tells her she will just make the same mistakes again if she doesn't change now.

Anna ends the song with a moment of her own feelings, she is letting all of her personal feeling out now to help or to be used whichever way someone wants to, she feels "naked".
