Miranda Lambert - Only Prettier - Lyrics Meaning

The song "Only Prettier" by Miranda lambert is a track which was featured on her third album "Revolution." This song was written by lambert and Natalie Hemby who is the wife of Lamberts co-producer Mike Wrucke. The two wrote the song together at the Nashville home of Hemby where she tossed out the line "I've been saved by the grace of southern charm. I got a mouth like a sailor and yours is more like a Hallmark card." Lambert was hooked on that line and considers this her own personal anthem which reflects what she would have love to of said to all of the mean skinny girls from high school.

Miranda states in an interview that she "Couldn't be happier with the way it turned out" and admits that the song was written with a specific group of people from her past in mind. Miranda hopes that the lyrics from the song will inspire girls to embrace their curves and be happy with the way they look despite what others may say. Lambert admits that the song is her own personal anthem and said in an interview that "I want girls to have their fists in the air, singing `only prettier' with me."
