Pink - Fucking Perfect - Lyrics Meaning

The song "Fucking Perfect" by Pink was released on her Greatest Hits....So far album in 2010. There is a clean radio version as well which is simply titled "Perfect" as well as an unedited album version "Fucking Perfect." Pink admits that when she first began writing this song she had her husband Carey Hart in mind; however, the meaning of the song shifted because of the way in which it was perceived by her fans. Instead of simply relating to her relationship it also carries a motivational meaning for her fans which she admits "was about this thing inside of me that I Didn't even know existed yet."

The lyrics "Pretty, pretty please, don't you ever ever feel like your nothing, your fucking perfect to me" provides her fans with a motivational uplift which tells them to look past their imperfections and view themselves as they truly are "perfect" in every way. Pink wrote the song for those who are experiencing depression or alienation which often sadly leads to suicide, cutting and eating disorders. In her potty mouth way Pink lets fans know that they are perfect just the way they are and that they should love themselves despite their imperfections.
