Thriving Ivory - Angels on the Moon - Lyrics Meaning

Thriving Ivory set themselves up for success when they released their Angels on the Moon song. This beautiful melody with a quintet of harmonious voices and instrumentals made this song a favorite as soon as it was released.

Many people interpreted Angels on the Moon in a variety of different ways, and perhaps it was meant to be that way. Angels on the Moon is a deeply meaningful song about the meaning of living and the mystery of death as it comes. It is about not taking life for granted, enjoying the time you have on earth and enjoying your loved ones while they are with you.

The line, "Don't tell me if I'm dying, `cause I don't want to know," is a way of saying that life should be lived to the fullest, because a person's time on earth is unknown and if tomorrow never comes, there will be no regrets. There have been speculations about the references to the New York City angels, and a brother's love, and how that likely relates to one of the group member's loss of a brother as well as the loved ones lost in the bombings on the twin towers on September 11th, 2001.

Agree about the New York City part, but I also think that the song can relate to cancer. "If I can't see the sun, then maybe I should go" makes me think of someone sick or has cancer and they are living in the hospital bed. But definitely also about living life to the fullest.
