And if both versions are equal then watching it in your native language is probably better, cause you don't have to deal with an imperfect translation.

Suppose you like the Kidman/Roberts remake of Secret in Their Eyes better too.

Ja I've been planning on watching it ever since it won, figured the remake sucked. The Funny Games remake is great though.

And I'm assuming ya'll are talking about the French Martyrs and not the remake?

It's easily in my top 5 foreign language films. Brilliantly made and very, very moving. It takes some serious investment though because it's a pretty dense story that's non linear and bounces back and forth over a period of 25 years of the main character's lives.

Spoiler for Tracking Shot:
To this day I still don't know how they pulled off this 5 minute continuous tracking shot.
