**** Bob, sorry. My preference is just for films where the romantic leads don't end up together.

Easily one of if not THE most uncomfortable scene I've ever seen.

Which one? The beginning of the movie (ending?) got me physically nauseous because of the camera work.

Spoiler for Spoiler:
And both the rape scene and face crushing scenes were pretty damn uncomfortable. Was crazy seeing Le Tenia getting off on seeing the guy getting his head destroyed.

I never had the nausea at the beginning, although I do remember reading they used specific sounds and lighting techniques in order to cause viewers to feel nauseous.

Spoiler for spoiler:
It's the face crushing that gets me the most I think. The rape scene was worse, but I knew it was coming and had heard so much about it that while it definitely was effective, it wasn't quite as jaw dropping as the face crush.

I watched it on a TV so I really couldn't hear (feel?) the super low frequency stuff.

Spoiler for Spoiler:
There's a cool YT video where they show how that scene was done. A ton of work went into it to make it look so real. The part that gets me the most if after the guy's been smacked 5-6 times and his face is starting to crumble he's still making noises and moving his arm. You'd figure he'd have been dead after the first couple of hits.

Have you seen Enter The Void? It can't touch Irreversible in terms of an overall film, but it's still an amazing journey nonetheless and showcases more of his unique camera techniques. He's definitely a unique director.

Enter The Void had some truly amazing aspects but overall Noe is just too gimmicky and all the sex and violence in his movies feel cheap, unnecessary and exploitative. And I say this as someone who loves tons of extremely ****ed up movies.
