Ok first of all Saints Row fucking sucks. Every single one of them. GTA 4's gameplay still holds up phenomenally. I think the story is the darkest story GTA's ever made and I appreciate that tonal change. So anyway you slice it, you can suck a veiny one.

Edit: Also, if you say anything blasphemous about Metal Gear, I will personally jog to your house and make you run on a treadmill you fat fuck.

SR3 was a cluster**** of nonsensical bull**** that made the spectacle of the game something to be marveled at in a way that the series never had accomplished before. And SR4 was art in its stupidity.

They doubled down on the stupid alright but personally i enjoyed playing SR2 more than 3. I agree it's kinda cool they took the franchise in that direction but at the same time layering a bunch of wacky bullsht on top of gta gameplay can't replace the gta experience. San Andreas was awesome without needing a ***** bat.

The ***** bat is something I would never have noticed if the internet hadn't made it a thing, cause it's just a melee weapon and who uses the melee weapon unless you're tazing someone for the lulz? It's been forever since I played 2 though, and I'd love to play it again, so it's kind of hard for me to compare 2 to 3 and 4, but 3 and 4 are two of my absolute favorite gaming experiences of all-time. Whereas GTA 4 was a complete disappointment (and yeah that's clearly not directed at you).

But the GTA experience was different from the latter day Saints Row experience. The Saints Row experience was just pure cartoon nonsense that appealed to me on a primal level that the same way that GTA 3, Vice City, and San Andreas did, just, you know, differently. I consider all those games (sans GTA 4) as kind of all one amalgamated experience over a period of years.

My chem teacher used the "new hotness, old busted" to teach us stoichiometry. He also often mentioned J.Lo when talking about the hotness and played Doug E Fresh and Slick Rick - The Show in class when I got him talking about hip hop. Cool dude.

All that talk about RE a few days ago made me nostalgic, so I ran through Nemesis for old times sake. Took about five hours. Now I'm gonna fire up Dino Crisis and get my ass shredded by raptors.

It's not a very long game. Probably the shortest of the main REs. Honestly, I probably could've finished it in one sitting if I wasn't so rusty.

Oh yeah, and HOLY FUCK I FORGOT HOW FUCKING HARD DINO CRISIS IS. Like, jesus christ. Capcom weren't fucking around with that shit. Keys, numbered keyplates, programmable keyplates, keycards, id cards, DDK discs that come in pairs and require a cryptographical code cracking to use, FUCK YOU SHINJI MIKAMI, WHY ARE THERE SO MANY KEYS? And the whole time you're searching through every box of cheerios in the compound for the goddamn things, you're juggling a million types of ammo and health items and plugging up gaping wounds as FUCKING RAPTORS THAT FOLLOW YOU THROUGH DOORS rip your anus into confetti. Fuuuuuu

Edit: And fuck whoever decided that you can't even use the storage boxes until you comb every ass hair of the facility for those stupid fucking plugs.
