Absolutely mind blowing film. Imagine Taxi Driver without the taxi! Directed by regular shit stirrer Gaspar Noe (Irreversible). This is not for the faint hearted.

No it's not, a very good movie, I think that one would be first, then Rise of the Foot Soldier, then The Football Factory.

What an incredible film. It was the first of its kind when released in 1976. Peter Finch does an amazing job. Here's a clip:

Where the Buffalo Roam

Rezz might like this one, seeing your avy.

Watched it last night again. I might actually like it better than Fear and Loathing. Bill Murray is one funny guy.

Where the Buffalo Roam is a 1980 comedy film based on a number of semi-biographical stories written by author Hunter S. Thompson. The film loosely depicts Thompson's rise to fame in the 1970s and his relationship with Chicano attorney and activist Oscar Zeta Acosta. Art Linson directed the picture, while Bill Murray portrayed the author and Peter Boyle portrayed Acosta, who is referred to in the film as Carl Lazlo, Esq. A number of additional names, places, and other details of Thompson's biography are also changed in the film.

Yea, this is one of my favorite movies. Much better than the remake with Depp. The story line may not be as crazy but the acting is imo superior.

Definently, have you seen any other HST movies? I just ordered some off blockbuster online, 'Buy the ticket, take the ride and F*CK'

City of God

One of my favorites. I think it is in portugese though. Guns, Violence, Drugs and poverty. A good mix. Please check this out if you havent seen it.

So far I am very interested in everyone elses reccomendations.

Im not sure actually if I have. Although I did read one of his books recently and it was pretty enjoyably. Hes a fantastic writer.

I read Fear and Loathing, but it was word for word with the movie. The book is mostly killer because of all the illustrations. I think they were done by Ralph Stedman.

Really, I didnt even know there were illustrations. I just heard it was exactly like the movie so figured whats the point in reading the same thing over. Ill check out Ralph.
