Looking for song and group (lyrics, singer, Creed, member)

Hello all, heard this song a couple years back while waiting for a movie to strart, Matrix 2 i believe, just made my heart yearn for my new born daughter, anyway used to remember more of the lyrics but all that sticks in my head now is the end of the chorus were the singer says,

"Just like a father should love his daughter"

Group sounded like Creed or something like that, been searching on line for sometime now but haven't ben able to find it on my own.

Any help is greatly appreciated,
