Looking for the artist/title of the song heard in a Kate Brasher episode entitled Georgia. It was during the scene where the pregnant teen, played by Allison Mack of Smallville fame, and the lead character's son Daniel, played by Everwood's Gregory Smith, cut school to go to the beach.

The artist is female

Some of the words sound like:
bright as the sun,
nothing gonna let you down, (or maybe never going to get you down, or bring you down)
