Two rock songs that for some reason noone else remembers.... (lyrics, singer)

Well, ok, one is probably considered classic rock, but anyway.... Also, seeing as no-one I've talked to remembers these, it's entirely possible (though I hope unlikely) that my mind made them up. Anyway....

The classic rock song contains lyrics talking about meeting with their guns in the graveyard, at midnight.

The other is a rock song with a female vocalist, and the only part I remember is "and I knew if I could just have one chance, I could make those people dance." Unless you know of another female vocalist cover of Miss American Pie than the one by Madonna, I believe it's a different song.

Normally I'm good at finding things like these, but for some reason my resources just didn't return any useful results. MAJOR thanks to any help anyone can offer.

i don't think another woman sings American Pie song.. i'm pretty sure Madonna is the only Female singer to have covered that song..
