An anagram is taking the letters of one set of words and mixing them up to make a new set of words. All that was, was jumbling up the letters.

Here's an example:

Fatherly of lot

I took the letters of a band, and rearranged them to come up with those words. Now, someone has to figure out what the band is, by rearranging the letters back.
