Sounds a little like Manfred Mann or Emerson, Lake , & Palmer. Any help on this one would be appreciated.

For some reason I could only play this once... when I tried to hear it again the link was dead.

From the one time I heard it, it reminded me of early Grand Funk Railroad Live, or MC5 live, or some live bootleg from a 70's prog rock band like Yes or King Crimson -- just the way it was recorded makes me think it was a live recording.

You mentioned that you taped it off the radio? Was it a rock station or say, a college radio station (that played alternative/ indie labels)? If it was alternative, it could also be something like early Bevis Frond live.

I wish I could hear it again...

The poor quality of the song may have made it sound like it was live but it was not. The poor quality comes from an old cassette tape turned digital.

It came from the radio. The radio station genre was Alternative Rock. The name of the station out of Phoenix, AZ was called "The Storm at 107, KSTM" which no longer exists.

The song itself may be more than one song as the entire album was played on the radio in a segment of the radio station called "the 11th hour LP". I only taped a small portion of the song. It seems at least part, if not the whole album, is instrumental

I would like to know the identity of this song so bad, I may be willing to give a reward

Default Mystery Song

There was a song that an old friend put on a CD for me a year or so ago. I've lost the CD and don't know the name of the song or the artist. The only clues I've got to track down this song are bits of lyric. The artist is male with pretty good vocal range and he says something about "shooting stars" or "stars" falling on a "tin roof". If anyone knows who this tune is by, I would practically give you my firstborn. I also know that the song is not a country tune, it's not Julie Roberts, Brian Setzer, Fiddler on the Roof, or Aerosmith. PLEASE HELP!
