Can anyone help?

I feel like this is on the tip of my tongue but I can't quite figure it out.

my sister was asking me what the name and author of this song was. it goes something like this.....
'you said you'd never lie to me, but you did yeah you did"

It is a man singing it, and it is a cross between a dance and pop song. she thinks it is about 10 yrs old or so.

Does anyone have any ideas?
