It's just a long shot, but there was a bluegrass band called Buzz Busby that had a song called "I'll always wonder why". Maybe that's it?

Here's a really long shot but...I think it could be Donna Lewis "I love you always forever"....maybe? Anyway, these lyrics have familiarity. Sorry if I'm completely wrong.
