Question Looking for artist/title

I apologize if this is the wrong forum to ask this, but I am looking for the artist and/or title of a particular song from around 1972 or 73. All I have are some of the lyrics.

It starts off with:

I woke in a mansion where I've never been before, wrapped in a satin sheet lying on a hardwood floor.

In addition it has the following:

Someone somewhere went to sleep and dreamed us all alive.

Dreams get pushed around a lot and I doubt if we'll survive.

The song is basically about the idea that none of us exist, that we are the dream of somebody else. Pretty deep thought in my opinion.

If this is the wrong place to post this then help me know where to go. If anybody knows who or what song this is, I would appreciate your help.

Hi musicthyme, Sorry I can't help you, but I thank you for starting this thread,
my brother seems to think that there is a one off recording featuring Stevie Ray Vaughan with Albert Collins, can anyone shead more light on this?

Default Also looking for this

I seemed to have remembered it as a Jim Stafford entry on one of his albums of his day but can't seem to Google into it. If this helps, you and, you find it, please let me know, OK?

It's off Jim Stafford's album "Not Just Another Pretty Foot."

I memorized this in high school because we had to recite a poem in English class. To the best of my recollection, the lyrics are as follows:

NONE OF US ARE HERE

I woke up in a mansion where I'd never been before,
wrapped in satin sheets, lying on a marble floor.
I asked the man on the unicorn who appeared from beneath the bed
if he knew what was going on, and this is what he said:

Someone, somewhere went to sleep and dreamed us both alive.
Dreams get pushed around a lot, and I doubt if we'll survive.
We won't get to wake up; dreams were born to disappear,
And I'm sure that neither one of us are here.

I pulled myself together and tied myself up tight.
I walked around and around the room, 'til I came to the middle of the night.
And there in the middle sat a calico cat on the sheets from the verse before,
And this is what she told me as she bolted for the door:

Someone, somewhere went to sleep and dreamed us both alive.
Dreams get pushed around a lot, and I doubt if we'll survive.
We won't get to wake up; dreams were born to disappear,
And I'm sure that neither one of us are here.

I [snuggled?] in my satin sheets and flew straight for the hall.
When I saw the cat had bolted the door, I lifted up the wall.
And there outside the mansion gates all the answers I'd been seeking
Took the form of a terrible storm and chased me back to my sleeping.
Don't you see:

Someone, somewhere went to sleep and dreamed us ALL alive.
Dreams get pushed around a lot, and I doubt if we'll survive.
We won't get to wake up, dreams were born to disappear,
And I'm pretty sure that none of us are here.
