Anyone able to identify the following pop song from the late 60's/ early 70's?:
“She was sixteen and I was a twenty-five” “For the first time in my life, I really felt alive” “We can never go back to the garden of Eden” “Adam and Eve have sinned” “We cain't go back again, oh no no no” “From the getaway car to the....” “.......and they cut him down” Any ideas as to Title/Artist much appreciated! |

Problem solved
Okay, finally found someone who remembered the song and, from this info, a collector who sold me a vinyl 45 copy. It was a big hit in Australia, Dec '68 to Feb '69. It was "Adam and Eve" by Buzz Cason (Carson). Buzz also wrote "Everlasting Love". Both great songs. Good on ya Buzz!
FYI: Will post the full lyrics on Leo's Lyrics at some stage to help other searchers. Cheers  |
