Help with a song name and artist (jazz, member)

It's a sort of jazz-ish song, almost a standard. I heard it on the radio years ago. I remember a few lines:

I tripped a boy just to watch him fall

(snip)

Hold on to your love (repeated line)

(snip)

...kind of funny
Like a feather on your tummy

Anyone know what it is? It's been driving me insane. I feel like I should know the artist as well, and I'm going to kick myself when I find out who it is. Thanks in advance.

I believe you are thinking of "Musta Been Somebody Else" from "Nitetime" by Julian Velard.
