Isn't it Rufus Wainwright's version in Shrek? It's been so long since I've seen the movie..

I looked it up: in the film, it's John Cale singing, but it's Rufus on the soundtrack (apparently, haven't seen it in a while myself).

Jeff Buckley's on Grace is great though.
Rufus's I think you can only get on Shrek's soundtrack
John Cale's I really don't know where you could get it...

Well, I understand why you'd think that Cohen's version is crap, because I'm not too fond of synths, but it's hard to beat Cohen's voice.

I'm seeing him on the 23rd: wonder if he'll do it then...

haha, what's the point of that? People are buying the soundtrack expecting to hear Cale ...and they get Wainwright? Odd.

I'm jealous...I only own his debut, but it's spectacular.

Yeah, I can't wait. Hasn't performed in Montreal in 15 years. Rumour has it that he's broke.

I just got that "1001 albums you should listen before you die" book yesterday, and I was surprised to see 4 of his albums listed in it (Clapton has only 2, to give you an idea), I'm Your Man, Songs From A Room, Songs Of Love And Hate, and The Songs Of Leonard Cohen
