Default grunge lives

supposedly, grunge died out in 96. but with bands like filter, pearl jam, and foo fighters still out there, grunge is not dead. its influences are still heavy in bands like black label society, incubus, janes addiction, tool and nine inch nails.

as far as im concerned all decent grunge died out with the demise of mudhoney, nirvana, the screaming trees and the pixies.

even if there weren't grunge bands anymore, grunge would still live through the music those guys made back in their days

i think that grunge needs a good revival... i love alice in chains, soundgarden, older pearl jam, nirvana, the screaming trees, but i think we've been long overdue for some new bands to continue with grunge... Jet, the Vines, the hives are the closest thing we have to grunge these days, but then again that's not all that bad since they all kick arse
