Can't think of the name of the song nor the Artist...help? (lyrics, singer)

this song was made like in the early 90's. it was a guy group, sort of semi-sonic thing kinda goin on. the song was played over and over again on the radio but i don't know the name of the song nor the singer.

lyrics were somethin like:

and i'll be your crying shoulder
i'll be loves suicide
and i'll be better when i'm older
i'll be the greatest ? of your life.....

????????????????????
and thats all i know. i know the song got really annoying and all that but its driving me crazy that i don't know who its by. do you know who it is?

I gooled "i'll be loves suicide" abd came up with.
Song: "I'll Be"
Group: "Edwin McCain" - EMB
Album: "Misguided Roses"
