Default Desparate help needed!

I wonder if there's anyone who can help me identify a piece of a strange song I recorded it on my PC, kiwi6[dot]com/file/a49bdjnwjy (I really apologize for "bypassingly" posting a link and the terrible quality, but that's one quite old casette tape and I really need to let people hear what I'm talking about.)
I taped this from some radio many years ago. The voice does sound familiar, but I'm lost. I want to know so I can check their other works (or at least get this one in proper quality). The "broken" reverberating piano is so awesome! And typing the lyrics as I hear them
"I will remain for the night for the day for the life for the death" and making slight changes (the "for"-s on some places sound like "through") Google gave me no relevant find - you know, it catches the string and eventually it shows in a lyrics website or so. I'm not sure if it's not a part of a musical or something. And that's all I have, it's cut like that because of ads and it was a night program and didn't have an announcer to say the names of the tracks playing. It's probably impossible, but thanks in advance if anyone has at least an idea where to start searching.

I already tried SoundHound and midomi to no avail. Also contacting the radiostation itself is looong since not an option (first it was a different town and secondly it doesn't exist anymore).

Thought it sounded a bit like Nick Cave, but I wouldn't swear to it at all...

Aaah finally! It's Theodor Samoladas! Someone on another forum gave me links and everything; now that it's solved, I just wanted to let people here know.

Wow, talk about an obscure artist. That was a nice find by whoever figured it out for you!
