This album is constantly being put-down in favor of The Mysterious Production of Eggs which I don't understand at all. This album has a more subtle beauty and is more more timeless than Mysterious Production, it's alot darker too. Andrew Bird on this album shows himself to be a very unique composer and not just another indie-folk artists ripping off Nick Drake.

I think it's a great album in its subtlety. Less flashy then Eggs but definitely less bland than Noble Beast.

Always been interested in Andrew Bird, but I've never really stopped for a listen....maybe now is a better time than any.
