Nah, it's not because of that. The reason why you're able to still be listening to this, is that you haven't yet contaminated yourself with the whole new music bug thing. My own problem is the very fact that I can't be content with what I have, but always want, no,
demand something else and something new. That means my attention span for a new album these days is pretty much no more than three weeks (and that's a liberal estimate). It's rare for an album released these days to truly contain SO much enduring appeal that it's worth listening to for any longer beyond that.
On the album specifically, it isn't a bad album and I strongly disagree with anybody who claims so. Neither is it particularly derivative or generic/faceless, as others seem to be insisting on suggesting. What it is, is a
somewhat enjoyable album (for your typical indie pop fan) which manages to do its own sort of thing within the niche, but without being remarkable all the same.
All I want now is another Ga Ga Ga Ga Ga or a Hissing Fauna...
