Just finished listening to this. The first 3 tracks are great (although track one is a BLATANT rip-off of The Chemical Brothers - Setting Sun), a Bloc Party feel crossed with more of a dance influence which i encourage.
Sadly the album falls into the same trap as the 2nd one did, with more mellow songs failing to inspire at all. Wish they'd stick to the more upbeat numbers.
Overall at the mo i'm saying it beats the 2nd but still fails to be anything more than average.

If you like the 2nd album, yes. If you're only into the first then you may be disappointed.

Hmmmm I'll probably just get the first 3 songs if they are the only good ones as you say.

are you comparing it blindly to silent alarm or on its own merits?

Is that a cover of the Peter Gabriel song or an original composition? Because as much as I hate PG solo efforts, that track puts the party in apartheid. Maybe Kele was reaching out.
