Have not heard it yet. I want to know what you guys think first. The Mars Volta have been hit or miss for me lately. I don't know why.

I personally love it, marks the fifth Volta album I'd call excellent.

It's a far more subdued album, which also means a lot of the instrumentation comes out clearer. It's far more instant, and cedrics vocals feel really relaxed and natural. You can also hear Ikey which is awesome becuase he's god on keyboards. It's far more relaxed, and as such should be listened to when you want to relax.

I feel like because of the other music I like, I should really like this album, but I don't. it's alright, but my least favorite Volta album so far.

Yeah, me too. But seeing as I like all The Mars Volta albums, it's not like I dislike this one. The others are just... better.
