Yellowcard (punk, rock, album, songs, emo)

I like yellowcard. They are very catchy, and I would call them emo actually. Sure, the violin is a gimmick, but it works, and it works well.

How are Yellowcard emo? oh wait, theyre SCENE. my bad. they're overrated, but underrated on mtv, because that's where they belong.
Having lyrics like "My heart is the shape of the moon, and when it's full, i'd like you to watch" is stupid. their lyrics suck and so does about 4390872787 million other bands who label themselves emo when they're not.

I really don't know why some people are so hateful. Sure, you can dislike a band, and even share that opinion with us, but please, do it in a semi-civil manner. Yellowcard is a talented band, so is just about any band that anyone knows about. They had to have some talent to get where they are. If you don't like their lyrics, or their sound, sure tell us, but I think that it is ignorant to dislike a band because they are on a large label, or on MTV.

i dunt rlly mind them, but since theyre my cuzzins fav band, and he is always dissing soad i hate em.... we can never get together without one of us saying sumthin about the others fav band!

I don't like Yellowcard. And no, Yellowcard is not punk. Punk music is derived from an era. I call bands like Yellowcard, Sum 41, Good Charlotte, and etcetera 'ponk'. Everything about ponk sounds too commercialized and not genuine.
