Why is it degrading for a woman with a beautiful voice, as opposed to women more generally?

At any rate, it's not degrading - that's a sexist viewpoint which assumes women are supposed to be a certain way.

When you see the likes of Aguilera and Beyonce on credit lists, it always makes me wonder just what their contribution actually was. As far as I'm led to believe, neither are instrumentalists or musicians in any sense?
