Default Neil Sedaka

Love him or hate him? Better than today's mainstream pop? Discuss.

Neil Sedaka is alright--certainly better than what passes for pop today. I prefer Neil Diamond.

Oh dear..no not a fan at all.

I consider these to be good pop bands/artists:

THE CARPENTERS
PREFAB SPROUT
GRAND NATIONAL
ALEX LLOYD

would rather listen to LEO SAYER!

Actually i'm not huge on THE CARPENTERS either. Sedaka has a great voice, but i can't stand safe boring music. He is telling me nothing at all. A vocally predominant perfomer should have something half decent to say If you want a great pop star--ROY ORBISON.

The Immigrant, and the Hunger Days have some substance. His songs may be safe, but he's a great pianist and songwriter. Catchy lyrics to.
