Tough call, but for me I'd have to go for 'Step On' by The Happy Mondays.
Just because it is such a marker of the Mondays' success and the vibe of that time, yet it's a cover and not much of a development on the original. It's almost as if John Congos made the track and put it in a time capsule to be used at the right moment late. |
