I was listening to a Beach Boys "Best Of" recently and I found myself skipping over half of the tracks. I know compilations aren't usually the best way to judge a band (and I like a few of their albums) but damn, they released some worthless crap in their time.

There are only 3 good songs on Pet Sounds as well.

It might have changed pop music in 1966 but it's 2015 now.

They certainly did release some worthless crap, but which greatest hits album was it? Some of them feature the WC more heavily than they ahould.

Let me see if I can guess the three songs… "Wouldn't It Be Nice", "God Only Knows", and "I Just Wasn't Made for These Times"?

Sure, Pet Sounds gets way more attention than it deserves, but the fact that quite a few kids still enjoy it shows that it isn't quite as dated as all that.
