I've not listened to a lot of Madonna's back catalogue, and I still haven't listened to Born this Way, but Madonna seems infinitely more creative than Lady GaGa. I mean, Erotica and Ray of Light alone **** on anything GaGa is ever likely to do. I know GaGa is only two albums in, but I just don't see her progressing in as amazing a way as Madonna has.

I've got to disagree with that one. Lady Gaga has way more talent than Madonna. I've seen her live and she doesn't have to do what Madonna has been caught doing since the beginning of her career over and over again. Lip Synching.

Unlike Madonna, Lady Gaga can also actually play musical instruments. Madonna's legacy as the material girl will be that she paved the way for manufactued pop garbage for non talent hacks like Britney Spears.

I think a better comparision for Lady Gaga is Annie Lennox personally.

Ok I will admit to liking them both, however Madonna A LOT more. She is original and never copied anyone as far as I can tell.

Madonna can play acoustic guitar (which doesn't count for much), and she used to play drums. Still, I think it would be crazy to claim her musical talent is comparable to Lady Gaga's.

maybe I'm reading this wrong but Lady Gaga plays piano and guitar as well so I don't see your point.

i personally like Lady Gaga's postmodern diva persona. But I also like Madonna's funk focus rather than Gaga's more contemporary club beats. It's hard.
