Default Bands/Albums similar to Coldplay - Parachutes

Hi,

I am looking for Bands/Albums similar to Coldplay - Parachutes. I liked Minor Majority and Eskobar, as well. The newer stuff from Coldplay is not as much my cup of tea. Do you know anything that is similar?

Any suggestions are highly appreciated.

Thank you very much in advance.

Best wishes from Germany

David

PS: I hope I am in the right forum. If not, please move the thread to another forum. Thank you

There were a whole host of bands similar to Coldplay's style popular in the early-mid 2000s

Have you listened to the likes of Embrace, Athlete, even Keane and The Fray?

Also try Matt Kearney- he has a very similar voice to Chris Martin

Coldplay themselves have cited Travis as an early influence.

Interresting that someone mentioned Gotye, but I don't really hear a lot of similarity. Gotye is much more electronica-heavy
