Focus definitely isn't a one hit wonder - most of their early stuff is great.

Focus were not one hit wonders, as Sylvia was also a hit single. The b-side, House of the King, was well-known too, being used as the theme music for the TV show, 'Don't Ask Me'. All of their albums with Jan Akkerman were consistently strong. Akkerman was tipped by influential producer, Mike Vernon, to be the successor to Green, Clapton, etc., but he left the band and it was not to be.
