Dark Side is probably my favorite album of all time. I can't fault a second of it.

Animals is pretty terrific too. That's a close 2nd. Wish You Were Here a close 3rd.

I had to go with The Wall, just because I play it most often.

Maybe because they're only moderate fans. I just find it really bizarre that someone who claims to be a huge Floyd fan could consider it a mediocre record. I can understand why someone would prefer other albums but it's the gateway album for every Pink Floyd fan pretty much. Don't tell me it wasn't the album that got you into the band, I know it was.

Well, it wasn't the album that got me into the band, The Wall was. But I do love DSOTM too and I agree that it's shocking that a Pink Floyd fan wouldn't like it.

No it was the track 'Echoes' and then Animals. DSOTM was a couple of years later for me. Sorry I don't fit the stereotype

Never ever said that I don't like it. I just prefer other albums to that one. DSOTM is far too smooth for it's own good. In fact it's not far from 'dad rock' territory over here

Same thing.
I voted Piper at the Gates of Dawn naturally.
